LEXUS LFA - Up for Auction at Ft. Lauderdale (Auctions America)
2012 Lexus LFA
The LFA is a two-seat "supercar" from Lexus that brings a distinctively different essence to the brand. Customers were selectively chosen by Lexus, each car had to be custom ordered to the customer's specifications.
The 4.8-liter, 552-hp V-10 engine is ferocious - having an engine note that is said to resemble a Formula 1 racecar. It has dual overhead cams, dry sump oiling system and is mated to a six-speed Automated Sequential Gearbox (ASG) with paddle-shifters and will take the Lexus to a 202-mph top speed. The LFA combines fantastic styling, handling, agility and construction with an exquisite cockpit.
During LFA production, each vehicle received a numbered plaque indicating the car's order in the production run. This particular car, number 069, is finished in Mercury Metallic Silver, and shows only 400 miles on the odometer. Each V-10 engine is hand-built by a dedicated production team of engineers and specialists at Toyota's Motomatchi plant in Aichi, Japan, and carries the signature of the specialist who assembled it.
