A long time favorite

The Ferrari Berlinetta Lusso has been a favorite of mine for many years. In 1985 when I toyed with the exotic car business as a broker, and prior to the main run up in prices, I had the opportunity to purchase a very similar car that was located in Switzerland at the time. The asking price was $55,000. A couple of problems with that. I had no where near that kinda money at the time. And even if I did it would not likely have survived my marraige any better than I did.

After that, there was quite a run up in exotic car prices through '88-89 and then that bubble burst. But rare, well preserved cars with provenance can command lofty prices, even through what are otherwise recessionary times. It is rumored that a 250GTO sold privately for close to $30M but I have not seen verification.

During that time I met a transplanted Canadian operating a shop in Costa Mesa California, Michael Sheehan. I have stayed in touch with him, though he sold European Auto and is simply Mike Sheehan, Ferrari Specialist. And simply includes one of the globe's most respected and knowledgeable Ferrari historians and data keepers.

I receive updates to his website and inventory/offerings. A Lusso comes across the wires tonight for a "priced right and seriously for sale at $649,950" - crank up the algobot and scalp some more. Mike's current inventory is presented below with the new Lusso as well. Don't miss the photo of the engine from the Lusso during its restoration. Gorgeous. Additional info can be obtained from www.ferraris-online.com and Mike Sheehan.
