In 1987-88 when I briefly operated a small brokerage business for exotic and specialty cars, I met Michael and his shop European Auto in Costa Mesa, CA. There was a special Lusso that crossed the auction block recently with Christie's in Monterey (August 2009). This auction featured Steve McQueen's 1963 250GT Lusso in Marrone Metallizzato with a Beige leather interior. That provenance gave it a $2.3M bid for a fabulous example of a gorgeous car.
