The Penske Corporation has donated more than $1 million worth of diesel-powered flatbed trucks to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund to help deliver food and supplies in the earthquake-ravaged nation.

"The catastrophe that has struck Haiti is almost unimaginable," said Roger Penske, chairman of the company. "These trucks will assist in the humanitarian relief efforts in Haiti by facilitating the distribution of critical supplies that will help ease the suffering of the Haitian people."

Former President Bill Clinton thanked Penke for the donation, one of many being given by the auto industry to help with the crisis after the Jan. 12 earthquake that killed an estimated 200,000 people and left millions homeless.

"I'm pleased the Penske Corporation has stepped up to donate more than $1 million worth of trucks, which
will be instrumental in mobilizing food and lifesaving supplies in Haiti," Clinton said. "Their generous contribution is an example of what the private sector can do to help Haiti rebuild and recover from the massive earthquake, and I'm grateful for their leadership."

The Clinton Bush Haiti Fund, overseen by former presidents Clinton and George W. Bush, is helping distribute aid to Haiti and supporting the efforts of non-government and nonprofit organizations. For more information, see www.clintonbushhaitifund.org.
