Just to remind you of the context behind this story, The HSV-010 GT concept was originally revealed as a possible replacement for the NSX road car, however with the state of the world economy and decline of the automotive industry, Honda have shifted their focus towards more mainstream vehicles, especially those with an environmental slant.
Super GT is normally only for production cars, but Honda seems to have found a loophole in rules that permit cars that are production ready (which this prototype NSX is), though not in production, taking part. It is not clear whether Honda will eventually be required to put the HSV-010 GT into production in order to continue participating in the series. The HSV-010 GT, which will compete in the GT500 class of the 2010 Super GT Series kicking off at Suzuka on March 20-21, 2010.
Let’s take a look at some more pictures though, and hope that perhaps we might see this as a road car in the not too distant future.
