Monterey 2014 ~ Gooding and Co. ~ The Most Awesome Porsche Racing Car Ever?
This particular 1969 Porsche 917K race car starred in the Le Mans film of that era, and was the first 917K raced. This is the car that was driven by Steve McQueen in the movie. The legend that is the 917K is well documented and this car's prowess on the track is without peer. This car in particular is full of stories including being found in a French barn in 2010 prior to its full restoration. Some have stated that the price for this car could top $20MM.
