DESCRIPTION
Described by Super Car Workshop owner and respected Yenko judge and restorer Brian Henderson as “One of the best I have examined in recent years”, this 1969 Yenko Camaro is sure to please any collector. It was assembled the second week of February 1969 in the second run of Yenko production and finished in Hugger Orange with a Black vinyl roof, D80 spoiler, the very rare VE3 body color front bumper and standard Black interior. It carries a correctly dated replacement short block with and a warranty replacement 4-speed transmission The sheet metal, interior, suspension, wheels and all Yenko-specific pieces and components are highly original except for a single repaint in the original Hugger Orange and a comprehensive detailing.
- Three owners with history back to the early 1970s
- First owner sold the Camaro after just one year of ownership to a gentlemen who was looking for a new drag race vehicle
- After the second owner purchased it, low miles were driven on the street as it was soon converted to a super stock drag car
- The car retired from street use and was only trailered to the track where it would run a quarter mile with an elapsed time of 11.30 seconds at 125 MPH
- Retired from the track in 1974 and stored in the second owner's garage for 34 years
- Current owner has owned since 2008
- Original interior, vinyl top, glass, body panels, emblems and badging
- Original Atlas wheels
- Hugger Orange paint, Black vinyl top and Black interior
- In the COPO registry #76 and in the Yenko registry
- Includes photos of owners with the car, ownership history, affidavit of history from the second owner, and 2008 appraisal
