car2go Celebrates One Year of Carsharing in Calgary with 35,000 Members

 Anniversary celebration to be held at the Sun and Salsa Festival, July 21
 Registration promotion benefits Calgary flood relief and The Salvation Army


CALGARY, Alberta — This weekend, car2go Canada Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of
Daimler North America Corporation, will celebrate its first full year of service in Calgary, Alberta.

Since the carsharing company launched in July 2012, more than 35,000 people have registered as members of car2go and more than 500,000 trips have been taken in the blue and white
smart fortwo vehicles, making Calgary the fastest growing car2go city in North America.
To celebrate the one year anniversary of car2go in Calgary, the company will host a special
member event at the Sun and Salsa Festival on July 21 and the proceeds of the event will be
donated to The Salvation Army for flood relief in Calgary.
