Here we have a couple of videos capturing the sights and sounds of various Ferraris during the 2011 Ferrari tribute parade/competition for the historic Mille Miglia race.
Commencing on the 12th of May, a total of 150 post-1957 Ferraris paraded along Brescia's Viale Venezia to open the annual event. From there, the participants retraced the Mille Miglia's traditional route to Rome and back, crossing the finish-line in Brescia on Saturday night the 14th. In the first video a total of 17 599 GTOs can be counted - a rare sight indeed.
During the journey, the Mille Miglia convoy passed through the Ferrari complex in Maranello. There, particpants competed in a special time trials competition at the Fiorano circuit on Saturday afternoon in homage to the marque that won the classic race more than any other. As seen in the second video, a total of 12 599 GTOs are en route to the famous circuit.
In total, 44 different models from 1958 to present day were selected to participate in the tribute by a special committee presided over by Ferrari's deputy chairman Piero Ferrari.
