The production Ferrari 430 Scuderia seen here will be totally different by the time it takes to the track in 2011.  Purchased by auto enthusiast/financier/horror movie director Jim Glickenhaus, the car will realize his and his designer's vision for the Ferrari P4/5 Competizione, a race-capable version of his well known, one-off Ferrari P4/5 by Pininfarina.

Glickenhaus made the announcement on FerrariChat, a discussion forum dedicated to the Italian brand.  "I'm grateful to my friends at [New York auto dealer Wide World of Cars] who sold us a new F430 Scuderia at a reasonable price that we will use as our platform," he said in a post on the site.  "Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus will be turning her into a full chat race car that will contest the 2011 24 Hours of Nurburgring."

However, do not expect the car to stay track-ready forever.  "After that adventure we'll reconvert her into a fully street legal car like her sister P 4/5," he said.  The original P 4/5 was custom designed with over 200 unique parts, including 20-inch aluminum block alloy wheels, unique LED lighting, and new headlight clusters.

Updates should be announced semi-frequently during the construction process by Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus, the race team named for the former film director and his wife's families.  Anyone looking to repair their own F430 may want to contact the team directly.

"As an aside should anyone need a lot of F 430 Scuderia parts we'll have some available..." Glickenhaus said.
